Appearance
Make MailPrism comfortable to look at. Everything here lives under Settings → Appearance, with a Live Preview at the top so you can see each change before you save.
Appearance preferences are stored locally in your browser, not your account. They take full effect once you click Save Changes. Set them again on another device or browser if you want the same look there.
Theme
Choose your color scheme:
- Light — best for daytime.
- Dark — easier on the eyes.
- System — matches your device's setting and switches automatically.
Density
Adjust how tightly content is packed:
| Option | Feel |
|---|---|
| Compact | More content, less spacing |
| Comfortable | Balanced spacing (recommended) |
| Spacious | More breathing room |
Font size
Pick a comfortable reading size: Small, Medium (recommended), or Large. The Live Preview updates to show the new size.
Labels
- Show Gmail system labels — display Gmail's built-in labels (INBOX, IMPORTANT, and so on) on your emails. This is off by default, because most people find them noisy. Turn it on if you rely on Gmail's own labelling.
Accessibility
Two options to make the interface easier to use:
- Reduce motion — minimizes animations and transitions throughout MailPrism.
- High contrast — increases color contrast for better visibility.
If animations are distracting or uncomfortable, turn Reduce motion on for a calmer, steadier interface.
Live preview & saving
The Live Preview card at the top of the page shows a sample email styled with your current theme, density, and font size — so you can confirm the look before committing.
- Save Changes applies your selections.
- Reset discards unsaved edits and returns to your last saved settings.
